Waiting Room Display
Configure the digital display showing queue position and currently-served patients
Overview
The Waiting Room Display is a full-screen, dark-themed page designed to be shown on a TV or monitor in your clinic's waiting area. It shows patients which numbers are currently being served, who is next, and the estimated wait time for everyone in the queue. The display auto-refreshes every 10 seconds to stay current without any manual intervention.

Now Serving (Green Section)
Displays patients currently with a doctor in large, pulsing green-bordered cards. Each card shows:

The pulsing animation draws attention to the currently-served numbers.

Waiting Table
A full-width table listing all waiting patients with columns:
- # — Queue number
- Patient Name — First name only (privacy-conscious)
- Doctor — Which doctor they are waiting for
- Estimated Wait — Approximate wait time in minutes (e.g., “~15 minutes”)
Empty State
When no patients are in the queue, the screen shows a large monitor icon with “No patients” text centered on screen.
Privacy Considerations
The display intentionally shows only the patient's first name (not full name) to maintain privacy in a public setting. No medical information, phone numbers, or National IDs are displayed.
FAQ
Can I customize the display colors or logo?
The display uses the standard SehaFile dark theme. Customization options may be available in future updates through clinic settings.
Does it work on tablets?
Yes. Any device with a modern browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox) can display the page. Tablets mounted on a wall work well for smaller clinics.
What if the internet goes down?
The display will show the last-fetched data until connectivity is restored. The refresh indicator will stop spinning, indicating a connection issue.
