Health Documents

Upload, organize, and manage your medical documents, reports, and images

3 min read

Overview

The Documents section is your personal medical file cabinet in the cloud. Upload any health-related documents -- lab reports, X-rays, prescriptions, discharge summaries, insurance forms -- and organize them with categories and tags. Files up to 50MB are supported, including images (JPG, PNG), PDFs, and other common formats. Documents can optionally be linked to specific visits for contextual organization.

Uploading a Document

  1. Navigate to Documents -- Tap the "Documents" tab (folder icon) in the bottom navigation bar.
  2. Use the Upload Zone -- At the top of the page, you see the upload zone with a file icon. You have two options:
    • Drag and drop -- On desktop, drag a file into the dashed border area
    • Tap "Choose File" -- Tap the green "Choose File" button to open your device's file picker
  3. Select Category -- Choose a document category from the dropdown: Lab Report, Radiology, Prescription, Discharge Summary, Insurance, or Other.
  4. Add Description -- Optionally enter a brief description of the document content.
  5. Add Tags -- Enter comma-separated tags for easier searching later. Example: "blood test, CBC, annual checkup".
  6. Link to Visit -- Optionally select an existing visit to associate this document with.
  7. Upload -- The progress indicator shows "Uploading..." until complete. The document card appears in your list upon success.

Viewing and Downloading Documents

  1. Browse Documents -- All uploaded documents are listed as cards showing the file name, category, upload date, and file size.
  2. Filter by Category -- Use the category filter at the top to view only specific types of documents.
  3. View a Document -- Tap a document card to preview it in the built-in document viewer (supports images and PDFs).
  4. Download -- Tap the download icon to save the original file to your device.

Deleting Documents

Tap the delete button on any document card to remove it. A confirmation dialog appears. Deleted documents are permanently removed and cannot be recovered.

Tip: Use consistent tags across documents (e.g., always tag CBC results with "CBC") to make searching easier. Tags are searchable and filterable.

Warning: The maximum file size is 50MB per document. If your file exceeds this limit, consider compressing or splitting it. The accepted formats include images (JPG, PNG, GIF) and documents (PDF).
