Overview

The Emergency Card is a digital medical ID that displays your most critical health information to first responders and paramedics without requiring them to log in. You have full control over what information appears on the card -- blood type, allergies, chronic conditions, current medications, and emergency contact details. The card is accessed via a QR code that anyone can scan in an emergency.

Accessing Your Emergency Card

Open Emergency Section -- Tap the "Emergency" tab (hospital icon) in the bottom navigation bar.
Card Preview -- The page shows a live preview of your emergency card as it would appear to someone scanning your QR code. The card has a red header with "Emergency Card" title and your name.

Configuring Visible Information

Toggle Blood Type -- Enable or disable "Show Blood Type" to display your blood group (e.g., O+, A-) on the card. Displayed as a red pill badge.
Toggle Allergies -- Enable "Show Allergies" to list all your recorded allergies with their allergen names. Critical for preventing allergic reactions during emergency treatment.
Toggle Conditions -- Enable "Show Conditions" to display your active/managed chronic conditions (labeled as "Chronic Diseases" on the card).
Toggle Medications -- Enable "Show Medications" to list your current medications with dosages. Helps paramedics avoid drug interactions.
Toggle Emergency Contact -- Enable "Show Emergency Contact" to display your primary emergency contact's name and phone number, shown in a separate bordered section.
Save Configuration -- Tap "Save" to apply your toggle settings. The preview updates in real-time as you toggle each option.

Can I disable the emergency card entirely?

Yes. You can deactivate your emergency card from the settings, which invalidates the QR code. Scanning it will show a "Card not active" message.

Does the card update automatically when I change my medications?

Yes. The emergency card always reflects your current data. When you add a new allergy or stop a medication, the card content updates automatically.

Can the emergency card show information in both Arabic and English?

Currently, the emergency card displays information primarily in Arabic, as it is designed for use within Egypt where Arabic-speaking first responders will read it.
