Family Linking

Link family members to view their health profiles and manage dependents

3 min read

Overview

Family Linking allows you to connect your SehaFile account with family members so you can view their health profiles. This is especially useful for parents managing children's health records, or for caregivers overseeing elderly family members. Linking requires consent -- you send a request and the other person must accept it before you can access their profile.

Sending a Link Request

  1. Navigate to Family -- From the "Profile" tab, select "Family" from the menu.
  2. Tap "Add Family Member" -- Tap the add button to open the link request form.
  3. Enter Phone Number -- Type the family member's registered phone number. They must already have a SehaFile citizen account.
  4. Select Relationship -- Choose your relationship to this person: Parent, Child, Spouse, Sibling, or Other.
  5. Send Request -- Tap "Send Request". The request appears as "Pending" in your family list until they respond.

Responding to Link Requests

  1. Receive Notification -- When someone sends you a family link request, you receive a notification.
  2. View Pending Requests -- Open the Family page to see pending incoming requests with the requester's name and stated relationship.
  3. Accept or Reject -- For each pending request:
    • Accept -- Tap "Accept" to grant them access to your health profile. The link becomes active for both parties.
    • Reject -- Tap "Reject" to decline. The requester will be notified that their request was rejected.

Viewing a Family Member's Profile

  1. Open Family List -- On the Family page, accepted links show the family member's name and relationship.
  2. Tap "View Profile" -- Tap on an accepted family member to view their full health profile including conditions, medications, allergies, visits, and lab results.

Removing a Family Link

  1. Find the Link -- On the Family page, locate the family member you want to unlink.
  2. Tap "Remove" -- Tap the remove/delete button. The link is immediately severed and neither party can view the other's profile.

Tip: For parents managing children under 16 who cannot have their own accounts, the child's National ID can be registered under a parent's family link. Contact support for minor account setup.

Warning: Accepting a family link grants that person full read access to your health profile. Only accept requests from people you trust with your medical information.

What happens if a family member deletes their account?

The family link is automatically removed and you will no longer be able to view their profile.
